Circle Dialogues & Intentions
A way of Thinking Together
Joost Burger
Workshop with maximum 12 participants - Register via registration desk
As a participant you will get acquainted with the circle dialogue. The group of participants will start from an intention and explore the possibilities. The circle dialogue form facilitates thinking together. We will use dialogic principles like open speaking, open listening and the postponement of judgement.
In the circle dialogue we will work with a talking stick, which facilitates a decelerating effect. You will experience a reflective thinking process. In the field that emerges in this process new insights will emerge.
For me personally circle dialogue offers some insights in the process of design, especially if you are working with a team on a complex assignment. Maybe you can apply some of the principles in your own working practice. If not, you will have an interesting experience.
The workshop will take 90 minutes and will be focussed on experiencing a circle dialogue. After this experience there is a possibility to explore theoretical backgrounds and share experiences.
The workshop will be facilitated based on the principles Dana, a Buddhist form of practising generosity.
